Treatment:

the brief wants me to make a new ident for one of the Freeview channels, and the channel I have chosen is CBeebies. in the brief it says to find a small audience or a brand that has not been re-branded for a long time. their ident was last re-branded on the 13th of September 2014. this show is very popular as a lot of people around the world put this channel on for their little children to watch everyday. I will meet the client brief properly in order to make my channel the best by including a lot of content and context in my ident that will make it stand out for example children playing games or watching TV shows such as 64 zoo lane. I will also make documents that will show what I will be doing at each stage and it will also show the legal and ethical issues, these are the main things in making a re-branded ident.

My ident:

my first ident will be a Christmas ident where I will draw all the stuff I would need a film it, but at each scene I will be adding another setting for example the first scene will just be of the Christmas tree and them the second scene will have one present around it. this will look attractive as everything will slowly start popping up.

my second ident will be a summer ident where I will also draw all the stuff that I will need for example the sun, the palm tree and the CBeebies logo. this will also be animatic and all the scenes will be popping up bit by bit, just like the Christmas ident, instead this will have the sun on the first scene, and then the palm tree on the other etc.

the target audience for my channel will be children aged 6 and below because this is mainly for young children, due to this my ident will attract them as they are the target audience for my specific ident. additionally my ident is based on the likes and dislikes of young children that will be watching this channel.

then medium that I am working with is TV ident, a TV ident is a audio visual animation that are specifically made for TV channels to identify and inform the public watching the show about their specific channel. my 2 idents will be running for 30 seconds each therefore it will show a lot of information on it. this will appeal to a small audience because it is only little children that watch this channel, therefore I will not have a wider audience.
